My first book, Net of Deceit, is about choosing the wrong man as your first love. Now, you may argue that we don’t have a choice who we love, but do we?
As a woman, it’s important to know why you want to get involved with someone, especially if you’re going to give yourself to him. Is it for the thrill of having sex for the first time; is it an infatuation you can’t resist; or maybe, you’re just playing and want the experience. Think about why you’re attracted to this man to understand what it is and if you understand what affect it will have on your life.
What about the man, himself? Is he someone you can trust; do you know his background to understand what motivates him; or do you even care?
Alyssa isn’t looking for a man and therefore hasn’t considered any of these issues. She’s thrown together with someone as a one-off encounter that becomes more than it should have. She thought she understood the man and innocently thought she could trust him because he was a friend of the family.
